Courteney Cox says her old friend Jennifer Aniston encouraged her to workout using a cross-trainer machine.
Courteney Cox gets exercise tips from Jennifer Aniston.
The actress says her 'Friends' co-stars got her hooked on working out using a cross-trainer machine at the gym when she could no longer practice Pilates.
She said in an interview with Britain's Marie Claire magazine: ''I did Pilates three times a week until recently, when I tripped and broke my fall with my bony little wrist.
''It meant I needed two operations and couldn't exercise for about three months. Jen turned me on to used an elliptical trainer to work out with, so I now use that too.''
Courteney, 49, swears by vitamin supplements to keep fit and healthy, but admits her biggest vice is alcoholic drinks.
She explained: ''I eat really well and take omega supplements, a vitamin B complex and a lot of vitamin D. Red wine and vodka are my vices, but I'm pretty healthy on the whole.''
It seems the star's hard work is paying off, since her nine-year-old daughter Coco Arquette, who she has with her ex-husband David Arquette, is already taking an interest in skincare and beauty treatments.
She added: ''The best beauty advice I can pass on to my daughter Coco is to always use sunscreen, moisturise and wash your face properly. She's just as interested in beauty regimes as I am and loves a good spa day or getting her nails done.
''I now have a facial done every few weeks, but I only really started getting them done about ten years ago.''
