Tyler, The Creator has been named Apple Music’s Artist of the Year, capping off a landmark 12 months defined by creative risk-taking, chart-topping releases, and global touring success.

The accolade recognises the rapper and producer’s influence on music and culture throughout 2025. According to Apple Music, Tyler achieved his highest-ever streaming metrics between November 2024 and October 2025, with fans logging more than 4.5 billion minutes of listening time worldwide.

The year began with the release of CHROMAKOPIA, Tyler’s most personal and conceptually ambitious album to date. The project broke his own records for first-day and first-week streams on Apple Music and served as the foundation for a sold-out international tour.

Midway through that tour, Tyler dropped a surprise follow-up: DON’T TAP THE GLASS, a stripped-back rap album that contrasted sharply with its predecessor. The release debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music’s global charts in over 55 countries.

Tyler also headlined major festivals including Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Osheaga, while preparing for the 11th edition of his own Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles.
