The album, which has been produced by Dave Stewart, Waddy Wachtel, and Nicks herself, was recorded in Los Angeles, California and Nashville, Tennessee. As a celebration of her career so far, the album will be packaged along with a collection of Polaroid photos, documenting key moments in almost 50 years of Nicks' time in the music industry.

Nicks discussed the album, stating that, "Each song has a purpose. Each song is a love story. They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the broken hearted and the survivors." She also said: "Most of these songs were written between 1969 and 1987."

The album's first single, 'The Dealer', was released on 5th August, 2014. The single was originally written and recorded by Nicks during her Fleetwood Mac days during the creation of their 1979 album, 'Tusk'.
