Action man Steven Seagal is returning to the Far East to set up a new production company.
The Under Siege star was spotted in Bangkok, Thailand last week (ends22Apr16), when he met with officials at the government advisory body, the National Reform Steering Assembly, to discuss his future film plans.
According to Variety.com, Seagal, who filmed Belly of the Beast in Thailand in 2003, received backing to create a production firm in the country, where he will also produce at least two new movies.
Further details about the projects have yet to be revealed, but the films are expected to feature the local muay thai form of martial arts.
Officials hope Seagal's plans will help to boost Thailand's film industry, as well as the nation's economy and tourism.
