Fact: Professor Stephen Hawking will make an appearance at next month's (Jun15) Glastonbury Festival in England. The scientist, who was portrayed by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne in The Theory of Everything, will be part of the line up in the festival's Kidz Field.

Fact: British model/actress Lily Cole and businessman Sir Richard Branson turned out to celebrate Stephen Hawking's 70th birthday at the U.K.'s prestigious Cambridge University on Sunday (08Jan12). The celebrated scientist and author, who has suffered motor neurone disease since the 1960s, was unable to attend the event after battling an infection which saw him briefly hospitalised last week (begs02Jan12).
