Lawyers Representing Actress Stephanie March Have Been Slammed For Allegedly Leaking An Email Falsely Accusing Her Estranged Husband, Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay, Of Cheating On The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Star With His Assistant.
Flay filed for divorce from March, his third wife, earlier this month (Apr15) after revealing the couple had separated following 10 years of marriage.
The TV chef hit headlines again on Sunday (19Mar15), when reports surfaced suggesting the 50 year old had enjoyed a three-year extramarital affair with his 28-year-old assistant, Elyse Tirrell, but his attorneys have blasted the allegations and accused March's representatives of playing dirty in a bid to challenge the terms of their pre-nuptial agreement, which grants her $5,000 (£3,125) a month in spousal support.
A spokesperson for Flay tells Eonline.com, "We will continue to refrain from responding to the continued efforts by certain parties to spread rumors and innuendo.
"This specific allegation was in a letter sent from one attorney in this case to the other. It was written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that's unfortunate.
"Even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a pre-nuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage."
March's lawyers have yet to respond to the allegations.
