Stephanie Davis seems to have confirmed the pregnancy rumours she triggered earlier this month, implying in a new social media post that she “100 per cent” knows she’s expecting a little girl.

The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star and former soap actress announced the news in a series of social media posts that have since been deleted. Having then kept everybody guessing for a few days, she confirmed to OK! magazine earlier this week that she’s having a baby with her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell.

“My pregnancy was a shock but I can't wait to be a mum. I hope that Jeremy will want to be a part of this baby's life, but if he decides not to then I am prepared to raise our baby on my own. I’m so excited to be a parent, I couldn’t be happier.”

She had initially dropped the bomb on Instagram in a post about her break-up with McConnell, her ‘CBB’ co-star back in January: “Yeah loved him unconditionally, after a week of hell and late phone calls and pain he's caused I still kept my phone on so I could call him, find out I'm pregnant and he says he doesn't love me anymore and I'm blocked. Heartbroken.”

However, the 23 year old actress’s friends are concerned for her state of mind, after an explicit video of her in bed with ‘Love Island’ star Joshua Ritchie was leaked online. She was also recently rushed to hospital suffering from stress, and has tweeted about feeling suicidal in the last couple of months.

“Her friends are very worried about her,” an unnamed source told The Mirror. “They think she needs to be resting and focusing on her unborn baby. They want her to get some professional help or go away on a spa break and spend some time getting her head together. Her friends are shocked she jumped into bed with Josh when she should be looking after herself more instead of getting caught up in more love life drama.”

McConnell, for his part, claims he has spoken to Stephanie and is prepared to support her, even if he’s not entirely convinced he’s the father as he accused her of having an affair with her ex Sam Reece.

In a Twitter post, he said: “I explained to Steph I'll speak to her, and do everything for her, if she stops drinking and partying knowing she's ‘pregnant’.”
