Fact: Star Wars superfans can live out their dream of grabbing a drink at the Mos Eisley Cantina when a pop-up recreating the iconic venue goes up in Hollywood. The creators behind The Scrum & Villainy Cantina describe the replica as a "two-hour, immersive experience". It is unclear when the cantina will open.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is due to hit movie theatres in December (15).

Fact: The winner of the Star Wars global charity raffle has been announced. DC Barns from Denver, Colorado has landed a cameo role in Star Wars: Episode Vii thanks to a competition launched by the film's director J.J. Abrams. Fans donated $10 (£5.80) to Abrams' Force for Change campaign, which raises money for United Nations Children's Fund's (Unicef), to be in the running for the coveted role. Barns will be flown to London to shoot his part.

Abrams is bolstering the big prize for an ongoing Unicef Star Wars competition by offering the lucky winner a private advance screening of his highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode Vii for 20 people, in addition to the chance to land a cameo in the sci-fi sequel. The contest ends this week (begs21Jul14) and benefits Unicef's Innovation Labs, which works to help the world's most vulnerable children.
