The website reports that on Thursday, Lucasfilm submitted a trademark filing to the European Union Intellectual Property Office for ‘Star Wars Forces of Destiny’.

According to AVS Forum, the filling includes a lengthy list of goods and services the name is being trademarked for, such as toys, clothing and even Christmas tree ornaments.

Motion picture films is also on the over 2000 words long list, making it a definite possibility that ‘Forces of Destiny’ could be Episode VIII’s title.

Episode VIII is scheduled for release on December 15, 2017 with principal photography on the film wrapping in July. With anthology film Rogue One hitting theatres this week, an Episode VIII teaser trailer is expected to drop any time now.

However Lucasfilm’s trademark filling doesn't necessarily mean that ‘Forces of Destiny’ will be the movie’s title. The filing could be in connection to any one of the company’s vast array of Star Wars relented projects, including video games and animated series.
