The line-up for one of SXSW's most anticipated showcases, Hype Hotel Presented by Feed the Beat, has now been announced - and it looks like 2015 is setting up for some up and coming talent of epic proportions come March 17th. As if the Austin festival wasn't getting hot enough!

Selected by a variety of top music blogs via Hype Machine, Hype Hotel presents the best in new talent from every genre in a spectacular showcase at SXSW which this year takes place between March 17th and 21st 2015. On the pop spectrum, we have everything from BBC Sound of 2015 winners Years And Years to Nashville singer Natalie Prass, whose classic songwriting calls to mind the likes of Beth Orton and a little Springfield. More on the electronic side of things is Michigan's own Daniel Wilson and Autre Ne Veut whose 2013 single 'Play By Play' was a definite fan favourite, and who bear some musical resemblance to Brit duo Hurts. Also worth a watch are US Heatseekers chart topper Ryn Weaver, Nashville indie quartet Coin and the very alternative Raury from Atlanta.

Alternative soul comes from the sensational Texas singer Leon Bridges and New York duo Lion Babe, and there's plenty of chill out material to enjoy from dream pop artists Hundred Waters and Yumi Zouma. Overseas we have Sweden's Amason, Manchester electronic band Shura, UK favourites Wolf Alice, London singer/songwriter Laura Welsh (check out her new album 'Soft Control') and fun lighthearted pop from London's Only Real, who is set to release his debut album 'Jerk At The End Of The Line' very soon.

If you're more into the heavier side of things, never fear; questionably named Canadians Viet Cong shake things up a bit alongside Pennsylvania's The Districts and Sup Pop signee King Tuff, whose been around for some time now and made a splash at CMJ with his 2014 album 'Black Moon Spell'. Other more established additions include Brooklyn based Twin Shadow, 90s rockers Spoon, orchestral pop collective San Fermin and Seattle electronic duo Odesza.

Those who feel like something a little bit different can sample the likes of Spanish band Hinds (formerly known as Deers), French indie pop group Christine And The Queens, Sweden's Tove Stryke and Kero Kero Bonito; a very experimental Japanese band based in London who are definitely not worth missing.

Not to be missed either are LA rappers iLoveMakonnen, Earl Sweatshirt and Kari Faux, as well as Mississippi newcomers Rae Sremmurd, and catch some stellar electronic production from the likes of London's A.G. Cook, New York's Fort Romeau and Lapalux, who have a new album coming entitled 'Lustmore'.

On a different note, it seems there's a bit of a female takeover going on here; removing the girl power would give you a very sparse line-up for Hype Hotel indeed and SXSW is not the first festival to steer towards that direction. Whether its an all-female group such as Washington's Chastity Belt, or a soloist like dreamy pop Lydia Ainsworth, or a mixed gender band like 90s indie five-piece Alvvays and LA rock duo Best Coast - there's definitely an excess in X chromosomes, but that can only be a good thing.
