Fact: Pop star Ariana Grande helped kick off the 2014 National Football League's season in the U.S. on Thursday night (04Sep14) with an impressive version of America's National Anthem. Her performance came after concerts featuring Pharrell Williams and Soundgarden outside of Seattle, Washington's CenturyLink Field, just before the game between the Seahawks and Green Bay Packers.

Fact: Rockers Slipknot, Slash, Soundgarden and Faith No More are set to headline Australia's Soundwave Festival. The two-day music event will take place in different cities over two consecutive weekends beginning on 21 February (15). Fall Out Boy, Marilyn Manson and Judas Priest are also on the bill.

Fact: Black Sabbath, Soundgarden and Motorhead are set to team up to rock the centre of London this summer (Jul14) as part of a 10-day festival at Hyde Park. The historic venue's British Summer Time festival will kick off with a heavy rock spectacular on 4 July (14), which will also feature Faith No More and and Wolfmother.
