A 1980s nostalgia concert set to star Soft Cell's Marc Almond and Kim Wilde has been cancelled.
Kid Creole and The Coconuts, China Crisis, and Captain Sensible were also due to perform at The 80s Show 2011 in a park in Shrewsbury, England on 15 July (11).
But the retro festival has now been called off due to circumstances beyond organisers' control. Iml Concerts bosses have promised to refund fans who had purchased tickets to the event.
A statement from the firm reads, "Iml Concerts regret the cancellation of the show at The Quarry as it has enjoyed a series of excellent evenings since our very first show in 2006. (We are) naturally disappointed that we have had to cancel a show for the first time.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to ticket-holders who will receive a full refund from the point of purchase."
