Fact: Slipknot, Lamb of God and MEGADETH will headline the inaugural Knotfest festival in Mexico. Him, Trivium and The Dillinger Escape Plan will also be on the bill at the Foro Pegaso in Toluca on 5 December (15). This year is the third year of Knotfest - Slipknot, the event founders, and Lamb of God headlined the first festival in Iowa in 2012. The event became international last year (14), when Knotfest Japan was staged in Tokyo in November.

Fact: Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Slipknot's Corey Taylor are among the stars who have contributed to a new record by supergroup Teenage Time Killer. The band is the brainchild of Corrosion of Conformity rockers Mike Dean and Reed Mullin. Other contributors include former Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri and Randy Blythe of Lamb of God.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor will be on double duty at the Makuhari Messe event - his band Stone Sour will also be performing. Ozzfest Japan will take place over a weekend next May (13).
