The singers, plus Leona Lewis, Sheryl Crow and Sean Paul, have recorded a version of Love Song to the Earth, a track originally co-written and recorded by British singer Natasha Bedingfield for the United Nations Climate Summit last year (14).

Bedingfield is joined by the star-studded guests to call for real action on climate change, and royalties from single sales and streams will go to Friends of the Earth and the United Nations Foundation.

Bedingfield says, "Many people turn a blind eye, arguing that everything is OK environmentally. The song reminds us that having ownership of our world means taking care of it. With this song we wanted to talk about the environment in a way that would help people feel empowered to do something rather than be paralysed by fear."

Love Song to the Earth is available on iTunes and Apple Music on Friday (04Sep15) ahead of a wide release on 11 September (15).
