Kanye West has launched a mysterious new website that features only a countdown and nothing else. The site, called Yeezy Supply, has been the cause of a great deal of speculation as to what it’s there to promote.
At the time of writing, the countdown will expire in a little over five days – or, more precisely, at 9pm on Thursday 12th February. The most likely explanation is that this is the same day as the start of New York Fashion Week, and that the countdown is connected to some sort of live show or announcement about a new fashion range.

The latest collaboration between Paul McCartney and Kanye West is another acoustic piece, backed by Rihanna.

Well, it’s happening – this week saw the creative duo drop FourFiveSeconds – an acoustic offering in the vein of their previous track. FourFiveSeconds was made available on RihannaNow.com over the weekend.
Could the West/McCartney partnership evolve into a full album?
The track is an anti-negativity anthem in the same vein as West’s 2014 album Yeezus, with him and Rihanna providing all the vocals as McCartney backs them on piano. It’s a smooth track, and definitely should make it on your weekend playlist (maybe in between Kedrick Lamar’s I (Love Myself) and Chance the Rapper’s No Better Blues). It’s Kanye’s second crack at the acoustic, minimally-produced, no beat genre and we’re pretty into it.

The former Beatle is "not giving up on" writing a song about the recent killings of unarmed black men in Ferguson and Staten Island.
Sir Paul McCartney is just one of many celebrities who have wanted to help create awareness about the killings of unarmed black men in Ferguson and Staten Island, and the iconic musician recently revealed he attempted to write a song about the tragic incident.
McCartney has attempted to write a song about the Eric Garner protests
While the former Beatle spoke with The Associated Press, he did admit that his efforts to write lyrics about the killings of Michael Brown and Eric Garner haven't' gone as planned, but he still hasn't given up on creating a protest anthem.
But that hasn't stopped him lending his voice to the accompanying single of newest shooter game, Destiny
He was the hero of the 60s and 70s as one quarter of The Beatles and Sir Paul McCartney certainly hasn’t slowed down since the demise of the greatest British band of all time. If anything he’s branched out into even darker corners than he may have discovered with John, George and Ringo with his latest single, Hope, which accompanies the release of a new video shooter game, Destiny.
Paul McCartney can add video game soundtrack to his longest list of musical accomplishments
But while he may have lent his musical talents to the video game soundtrack, it doesn’t mean that he understands video games themselves as he recently revealed to Jon Stewart on The Daily Show.

Sir Paul McCartney has opened up about the death of John Lennon. In an interview on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ which is due air on Saturday night on ITV in the UK, the former Beatle branded Lennon’s murderer Mark David Chapman “the jerk of jerks”. Rather mild, all things considered. The 34th anniversary of Lennon's death is just around the corner, on December 8th.

In a story reported by The Mirror, while McCartney acknowledged that there was a great deal of inter-band rivalry and personality clashes during the Beatles’ final few years. In June 2011, Campbell announced to his worldwide fan base that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease six months earlier. What followed was a 'goodbye tour' of epic proportions. The tour was originally scheduled for five weeks, but in almost no time at all, that five weeks blossomed into a 151-week tour of sold-out concerts as fans across the globe flocked to see and support the musical legend before his retirement for the industry. His final performance came in 2012, at that year's Grammy Awards Ceremony were he performed his most famous and most loved song, 'Rhinestone Cowboy'.

The former Beatle urges people to become vegetarians one day a week by rapping in a short promotional video.
British legend Sir Paul McCartney is known for being an extremely talented musician and singer, which he has frequently demonstrated throughout his 50-year career with The Beatles and as a solo artist, but his rap skills aren't quite as adequate yet.

While the eventful life of Fela Kuti provides more than enough subject matter for a biographical documentary, award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney weakens the film with a second narrative strand that feels like another movie altogether. He did the same thing with last year's The Armstrong Lie, which compromised the Lance Armstrong scandal with clips from an abandoned glowing doc about his earlier comeback. This time, he has intercut Fela's story with a theatre group trying to mount a show about his life.
Born in 1938, Fela is considered one of the most important figures in 20th century Africa. As a pioneering composer and performer, he transformed Nigeria's musical landscape, all while standing up for human rights and criticising political corruption, often at considerable risk of retaliation from Nigeria's oppressive government. As a young man, he was influenced by jazz clubs he visited in London and Los Angeles, and returned to Lagos to start his own iconic venue, The Shrine. A lone voice against government corruption, he lived a communal life with countless wives, girlfriends and children, and he very nearly sabotaged his career with heavy drug use. But even with his death in 1997 at age 58, he challenged the Nigerian state propaganda machine, which had declared that Aids did not exist in the country.
This story is told with a superb wealth of archival footage, stills and interviews, letting Fela himself speak and sing as his life traverses the first 50 years of Nigerian independence. This is such a vitally important story of a seriously revolutionary man that it's utterly gripping. So it's rather frustrating that Gibney weaves it together with the project to tell Fela's story through a Broadway musical. The practice and performance clips offer dramatic recreations of events in Fela's life, putting his music in context, but the actual home movies and newsreel clips tell us a lot more.

Ron Howard may seem an unusual choice to direct documentary about The Beatles, but there are certainly some pretty good reasons why he's bound to make an excellent producer and director of the upcoming and unnamed film.

Tom White, Jacob Murray and Luke Koester caught the billionaire and the music legend unawares.
Internet fame may not exactly be hard to come by these days but it's hard to begrudge limelight to the snap-happy antics of a few rather cheeky Nebraskan teens who made the most of celebrities being in town.
Tom White, Luke Koester and Jacob Murray wasted no time in cementing the moment when they spotted Sir Paul McCartney and Warren Buffett chilling on a bench in Dundee. The musician and the Omaha-based billionaire, who dined together during their evening in Dundee, appear to notice the photo being taken but do not object to the cheery fans.
Murray shared the image on Twitter on Saturday night, writing "Best picture of the night with @WarrenBuffett and @Paul McCartney goes to Tom White!" Meanwhile Koester later uploaded a photograph of McCartney walking down the street. "Just saw Paul McCartney in Dundee! My night is awesome!!!!!" he wrote before lamenting "Too bad he couldn't sign my Abby Road vinyl :/"

John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr took to the big screen at the peak of what was commonly referred to as Beatlemania, but not to do your average music documentary. The movie shows the Liverpool lads' eventful trip from their hometown to London, encountering overexcited fans, dealing with Paul's very irresponsible grandfather, and going on a rather comical trip around the city in a bid to find Ringo after Paul's grandfather convinced him to wander off. Luckily enough, no problem was too serious and they eventually managed to hit the stage for a major concert to be televised for the movie.

Oh man – mates. Mates are great. I’ve got some mates, and I drink coffee with them and talk about Breaking Bad. But for the past million decades, or however long ago when people thought the Beatles were good, Yoko Ono and Paul McCartney haven’t been mates.

In fact, it’s been one of the most enduring public shoulder-chips to remain lodged firmly in place. The chip on Macca’s shoulder was always bigger, but now both of them seem to have shrunk, and the pair might even be seen in a north London café grabbing a fry up, or watching Thor: The Dark World in the cinema.
Johnny Depp, Lily Cole, Chris Pine and Tom Ford are amongst those featured in McCartney's exciting new video.
A week after Sir Paul McCartney's latest solo album, New, debuted, the brand new video for track 'Queenie Eye' premieres today (October 24, 2013). However, this isn't any old music video: the former Beatle has called on a few friends to help, with stars including Gary Barlow, Alice Eve, Kate Moss, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, James Corden and Jeremy Irons all featured.
A Little Help From My Friends: Paul McCartney Prepared To Launch New Music Video.
The song is named after and draws inspiration from a childhood game McCartney used to play in Liverpool. "Queenie eye, queenie eye, who's got the ball? It isn't in my pocket. O-U-T spells OUT!" sang a young Macca and the same lyrics are called upon for Paul's latest, upbeat track that has been described by Q Magazine as "jaw-dropping."
The ex-Beatle announced the spontaneous performance via Twitter.
Paul McCartney sent a ripple of excitement through his London fans today when he announced that he'd be playing a gig in Covent Garden then made good with his promise by rocking in a lorry with a full band in tow. "I'm getting ready to pop up in Covent Garden at 1pm today. Oh baby!" he tweeted to plenty of frenzied glee.

Though McCartney posted the news at midday, a sizeable crowd of 2,000 had assembled ready for some magic. "Good afternoon," he said to the mass. "Welcome to Covent Garden." He added "We're just going to do some songs from our new album so get your phones out...As if they weren't already."

After months of heated criticism of Miley, Sir Paul McCartney weighed in to restore the balance.
It’s hard to deny that Miley Cyrus is the talk of the town these days, but one person, who isn’t all that impressed, is Sir Paul McCartney. Not impressed by all the heat the young singer has been getting that is. McCartney is a respected name in the music business and has managed to maintain a near spotless reputation through the years, so he might know a thing or two about surviving in show business.
MIley Cyrus has McCartney's support.
After Miley’s twerk-tastic VMA performance from August, everyone and their grandmother rushed to condemn her for “corrupting the youth of America” and/or offered advice on cleaning up her image, protecting her dignity, etc. McCartney, on the other hand, provided a more level-headed opinion, saying in an interview with Sky News: "Come on, we’ve seen worse than that!"
Paul McCartney surprised an audience of New York City students at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria and played a full set.
Sir Paul McCartney surprised 400 students from Queens High School in New York on Wednesday (Oct 7th) by playing a surprise gig for them.
The Frank Sinatra School for the Arts' auditorium was packed full of the city's best art students and had McCartney conduct a "master class".
"This beats going to class", said the 71 year-old as he graced the stage with his band and the screaming audience indicated that they to agree.

Justin Timberlake ended the iHeartRadio festival event with a few new surprise tracks.
Music lovers at the iHeartRadio Music Festival last weekend (September 20th-21st 2013) were in for a treat as Justin Timberlake rounded off the event with a few new tunes.
It was a rather special set from the 'Suit and Tie' singer who has dealt well with the endless live shows and televised performances pretty much running through the whole year. He was introduced to the stage by undefeated welterweight boxer floyd mayweather who crowned him 'the heavyweight champion of music'; a prestigious title that his thrilled audience certainly didn't appear to dispute. As well as performing some timeless hits from 'Cry Me A River' to 'SexyBack' to 'Mirrors', JT unleashed some brand new tracks from 'The 20/20 Experience' follow-up, 'The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2'. He sang his most recent single 'TKO', as well as 'True Blood' and 'Only When I Walk Away'. Even aside from the music Justin was an act not to be missed, oozing with charisma as he owned the stage with his entertaining and often comedic dance routines.
Other notable performances from the weekend came from everyone's favourite controversy Miley Cyrus, who belted out hits such as 'Wrecking Ball' and 'We Can't Stop' wearing a customary revealing outfit; Joan Jett, who teamed up with Ke$ha in an unusual performance which celebrated her 55th birthday; and Paul McCartney, who was promoting his, quite literally, 'New' album set for release on October 15th.
Th second day of the iHeartRadio Music Festival saw Justin Timberlake and Paul McCartney perform new material for the first time and Miley Cyrus becoming once again, the most talked about performer of the night.
Day 2 of the Las Vegas ‘iHeartRadio Music Festival’ kicked off this Saturday (Sept 21st) and the MGM Grand Garden arena witnessed yet another amazing crop of talent perform their best hits to in the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’.
Paul McCartney opened the second day of the music festival
But how did it match up to the festival's stellar opening day?
The new album from The Beatles will be an exciting addition to any fan's collection.
A new video has been released to promote The Beatles' upcoming album release showcasing songs that the Liverpudlian band performed in session with the BBC. Entitled, On Air - Live At The BBC Volume 2, the new record will comprise of a 63 track, 2 disc album featuring a "48 page booklet with rare photos and introduction by Paul McCartney" as well as 37 unreleased performances and 23 excerpts of solid studio banter.
A New Album Of The Beatles Recordings Will Be Released.
On Air... will reportedly also include 10 previously unheard songs that the band played together but did not record with their record label, EMI, including their cover of Chuck Berry's 'I'm Talking About You' and the 19th century, oft covered 'Beautiful Dreamer,' according to The Independent.
Nearly twenty years since the release of The Beatles' chart-topping compilation album 'Live At The BBC' featuring radio performances from 1963 to 1965, producers Kevin Howlett and Mike Heatley have now compiled 'On Air Live At The BBC - Volume 2' featuring never-before-heard performances, banter and cover tracks.
The compilation includes 63 tracks which weren't featured on the previous volume; 37 of which are newly released radio performances and 23 which feature unheard banter and chatting amongst the band and the radio hosts. There are 10 tracks which were never recorded for EMI and some which haven't been released at all; among them are covers of Chuck Berry's 'I'm Talking About You', 'Beautiful Dreamer' and different versions of previously heard covers including Ray Charles' 'I Got A Woman'.
Howlett and Heatley were truly spoilt for choice when it came to compiling this new collection, given that the world's most-loved band performed an incredible 275 shows on the radio throughout their musical journey in the 60s, appearing on 39 different shows in the year of their debut album release. The new compilation, re-mastered by Guy Massey and Alex Wharton, includes a detailed booklet and is set for release on November 11th 2013.
It was revealed by Harvey Weinstein this week that Kristen Stewart was given $500,000 for a Hurricane Sandy charity for spending time with a rich prince
Kristen Stewart managed to earn half a million dollars in only 15 minutes, and if that wasn't impressive enough, the money she made was donated straight to charity. The Twilight star caught the attention of an unnamed Middle Eastern Prince, who was so taken with the actress that he forked out the huge sum for just 15 minutes of her time.
Just $500K can buy you 15 minutes with Kristen Stewart
According to film producer Harvey Weinstein, Kristen was helping to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy when Weinstein was approached about spending some one-on-one time with Kristen by the mysterious, ultra-rich Middle Eastern monarch. Initially dismissing the requests, Kristen soon caught wind of what was happening and was actually willing to meet with the high-paying Prince, leading Weinstein to broker a deal to arrange the meet-up. Sounds seedy doesn't it?
It's all new for Paul
To be Paul McCartney right now is to be a happy man; new album in the pipe and a new single – both called 'New'. The former Beatles man seems to have a newfound zest about him as he talked to WXRT Chicago.
Sir Paul McCartney struts his stuff in Brooklyn
The title ‘musical legend’ doesn’t really get bestowed on many people, and if you’ve managed to achieve it, it probably means you’re quite old. For McCartney, his age nearly stopped him doing festivals because of “the kids”.
Sir Paul has surprised fans by releasing a new single 'New' from his upcoming October album, 'New.'
Sir Paul McCartney has launched a fresh single from his forthcoming record, and has announced that his new album will be called just that; New. Thinks could get confusing for music journalists describing "Paul McCartney's new New Album," or his "new album New" but for now we'll focus on the exciting new release that has been sneakily dropped online, also called 'New.'
Sir Paul Teased Twitter Fans, Tweeting Words Related To 'New.'
Produced by Mark Ronson, the bouncy new song, 'New,' harks back to The Beatles sound with its marching piano chords, nostalgic harpsichord effect and lovesick lyrics. Of course, because it's had Ronson within 10 feet of it, it has a bulbous horn section but has been thankfully saved from the grating trumpet-plagued ubiquity of the producer's work of yesteryear.

The rapper couldn't have foreseen the storm he would cause by calling out every other hip-hop artist under the sun. But is he being hated or congratulated?
Big Sean's new track 'Control' was only released on Tuesday but already the rap world is up in arms over guest rapper Kendrick Lamar's 3 minute verse in which he boasts, disses and namechecks other artists in order to make it sound like he's the undisputed big dog.
The Rap World Replies To Lamar.
Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Pusha T, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, NaS, Eminem, Andre 3000 and Meek Millz are not even all the names spat out by Lamar as the rapper compares himself to a King, the Pope and Italian writer/politician Machiavelli. He also adds in Lindsay Lohan, Sir Paul McCartney and Sean Connery for good measure, just in case Hollywood or The Beatles' guitarist ever considers encroaching on his self-anointed rap lordship.

Paul McCartney treated fans to a couple of live rarities at Outside Lands Festival.
Paul McCartney fans at the Outside Lands festival were given a real treat on Friday evening (August 9, 2013) with the Beatles legend performing with the string virtuosos, the Kronos Quartet. The quartet are perhaps best known for their work with Tom Waits, David Bowie, Bjork and even the poet Allen Ginsberg, but the strings perfectly complimented McCartney's hit Yesterday - a track usually backed only by the musician's idiosyncratic guitar work, though rarely played live.
Though the former Beatle continues to sell out shows around the globe, he has on occasions been guilty of failing to change up his set - something that he's rectified in the past year or so. At Outside Festival, he played the more obscure Fab Four tracks Lovely Rita and Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite, as well as Yesterday, according to Rolling Stone magazine.
Outside Lands offer up legendary headliners plus a huge choice of food, beer, wine and art.
The Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival is back on August 9th - 11th 2013 bringing us the best in art and music as we see the likes of Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails and Red Hot Chili Peppers top this year's bill.
San Francisco hosts this annual festival which has soared in popularity since the first event in 2008. It takes place at Golden Gate Park and, as well as some brilliant bands and artists being on show all weekend, presents some fantastic food and drink offerings from the Bay Area. Food includes everything from mac and cheese and hot dogs to falafel and noodles and there'll be food trucks and special cheese and chocolate stalls good enough to pull you away from the awesome music for a while. There'll also be a wide array of wines and beers to enjoy plus live painting and Levi's Mobile Bike Shop as Outside Lands is all about being eco-friendly and reducing our carbon footprints.

The celebration of The Beatles' music has got nasty as a rival production company claim that the 'Let It Be' show copied their ideas.
Having played in the West End last year, the Beatles musical Let It Be opened on Broadway last night (24th July) in the midst of an on-going copyright infringement lawsuit that has been filed by the creators of rival tribute show, Rain: A Tribute To The Beatles. The people behind Rain claim that Let It Be incorporates elements of their 2010-11 show, including musical arrangements of hits, hairstyles, similar Scouser banter, and a selection of 28 of the 31 songs that Rain brought to Broadway.
The Beatles Stage Tribute Band.
According to the New York Times, Peter Cane, a lawyer for Let It Be's producers, Jeff Parry and Annerin Productions, argued that the copyright claim was absurd. Speaking to the NY Times, Cane said "Let It Be is a tribute to The Beatles, not to the four guys who impersonate The Beatles. How do you monopolise the ability to present an impersonation of The Beatles? How many different ways can you really do it? The Beatles acted a certain way, they played certain notes, they spoke a certain way."

Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, is engaged to Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo. He seems to be following in the footsteps of Mick Jagger, The Rolling Stones frontman who is renowned for his relationships with models.
Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine is engaged to Behati Prinsloo. His representative confirmed their engagement in a statement issued on Tuesday 16th July. The statement, made to People magazine, reads: "Adam Levine and his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo are excited to announce they are engaged to be married"

The couple started dating in May 2012 but separated earlier this year. It's come as something of a surprise when Levine proposed to Prinsloo over the weekend. It's certainly a romantic story with such a spontaneous demonstration of love. However, the singer's involvement with Behati is somewhat cliché.
