Simon Le Bon and his bandmates took advantage of the fame they achieved in the 80s - they used to enter nostalgic Duran Duran lookalike contests.

And the HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF band - who will receive an Outstanding Contribution gong at next year's (04) Brit Awards in London - were so convincing dressing up as themselves, they would always win.

Le Bon says, "We'd hire a little working men's club in Birmingham and all put our 80's mullet wigs on and big shoulder pads suits and we would enter Duran Duran competitions - and win!"

The original Duran Duran line-up are currently in the midst of a world tour which hits Britain next April (04).
