But the newspaper also reports that Osbourne is yet to get the go ahead from her bosses at US chat show ‘The Talk’, who last autumn allowed her to work a “three day week” schedule so she could also appear on 'X Factor'.

A source said: “Sharon looks like she is returning to the 'X Factor', and has been telling people that it is a done deal. She will film the auditions in the summer, and then jet to and from London for the live shows.

“While that has gone on, her deal at The Talk for the next year is not finalised. She has to re-sign for another year for a another season in the next few weeks. The fact that she is negotiating the X Factor deal before this could complicate matters. They have not said it is okay and have never done so publicly.”
