Brown, who played with the singer in his new band Wildabouts, passed away at the age of 34 and Weiland confirmed the news to fans on Monday (30Mar15), just a day before the release of his new album Blaster.

The singer cancelled a planned gig in Los Angeles that night, and now he has also called off a trip to Britain.

Weiland and his band had been due to play at London venue The Garage on Thursday, but the show has now been rescheduled to September (15).

A statement posted on the star's Facebook.com page reads, "Unfortunately, due to our guitar player Jeremy Brown's passing, this week's show in London will be postponed until September 3rd. We will be coming back to play a full U.K. and European tour at that time. Your current tickets will be good for the show on September 3rd at The Garage in London, and thank you to all of our fans for understanding while we grieve and take (the) next steps to be back for the U.S. tour."

The planned tour of the U.S. is still slated to kick off at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Florida on 25 April (15).
