Fact: The musical adaptation of Bill Murray's film Groundhog Day is popping up on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre on 17 April (17). The critically acclaimed production is currently enjoying a run at the Old Vic in London. Groundhog Day features music and lyrics by Australian entertainer Tim Minchin, who reunited with his Matilda collaborators, set designer Rob Howell, choreographer Peter Darling and director Matthew Warchus, for the new production.
Fact: Director Paul Greengrass is reuniting with his Captain Phillips producer Scott Rudin to adapt upcoming book Agent Storm: My Life Inside Al Qaeda into a new movie thriller. The tome, which is set for release in mid-August (14), is former Islamic radical Morten Storm's account of his life as a double agent, working for the Cia and intelligence officials in Britain and his native Denmark, while still a member of the terrorist group.
Fact: Producer Scott Rudin will help to bring author ZOE HELLER's book THE BELIEVERS to the big screen. Rudin and Miramax Films executives have bought the rights to the novel, which will be the producer's second Heller adaptation after 2006's Notes on a Scandal.
