Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian ''will work things out''.

The reality TV star and her entrepreneur partner - who have children Mason, five, Penelope, three, and Reign, 10 months, together - split after he was pictured getting close to ex Chloe Bartoli in Europe over the summer but close pal Jonathan Cheban thinks the couple will reconcile.

He said: ''I'm sure they can work it out. There's three kids, he lives not that far from her. Once he gets this out of his system I'm hoping that it will be somewhat back to normal.''

Scott was most recently romantically linked to 18-year-old model Lindsay Vrckovnik but Jonathan doesn't think anyone can compare to Kourtney, who he calls ''pretty forgiving''.

He explained to PEOPLE: ''If you tell him not to then there will be two more 18-year-olds. Those 18-year-olds are all in it for pictures on the beach. It doesn't necessarily mean that anything is going on.

''We're used to all of that. We know every trick in the book. We've been around a long time. Everybody loves the attention.''

Scott has reportedly checked in to Cliffside Malibu rehab in California for treatment for drug and alcohol issues and Jonathan is hopeful that he and Kourtney will get back together soon.

He said: ''They're really the best together. They're perfect together. I'm hoping everything works out.''
