The 29 year-old actress describes divorcing from Ryan Reynolds as "a very lonely thing," but insists the process taught her "more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship."
Scarlett Johansson is one of Hollywood's most desired women, and for a short time she was married to one of Hollywood's most desired men.
In 2008 the 29 year-old actress married fellow actor Ryan Reynolds, but this was short lived as the pair filed for divorce which was finalized in 2011.
Since then, Johansson has kept relatively quiet about their split, but in two new recent interviews she explained what going through a divorce has taught her.
When being interviewed for the latest issue of C Magazine, the 'Captain America: The Winter Solider' actress describes her divorce from Reynolds as "a very lonely thing. It's like the loneliest thing you'll ever do, in some ways."
"I've had a fair amount of time to process the experience and go forward," she continued. "I continue to get to know myself better as I get older, and that helps me in my relationships."
Reynolds secretly married his 'Green Lantern' co-star Blake Lively in September 2012, whereas Johansson is now engaged to French journalist Romain Dauriac and they are currently expecting their first child together.
The 'Don Jon' actress also opened up about her past relationships in the latest issue of Glamour magazine, and reveals marriage is something she is far more prepared for this time around.
"I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship," Scarlett says in the May 2014 issue. "And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself."

"That's not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage," she reiterates, "but really where I was in my life."
