Tom Hiddleston entertainingly shut down an interviewer on live television after he was asked a question about his much-discussed relationship with Taylor Swift last year.

The 36 year old British actor appeared on the American breakfast TV show ‘Today’ in order to discuss and promote his new film, Kong: Skull Island, on Wednesday (March 8th). However, the discussion was soon directed towards the summer romance that Hiddleston enjoyed with Swift from May to September last year.

‘Today’ co-presenter Savannah Guthrie has announced that she’s expecting her second baby with her husband Michael Feldman, at the age of 44.

The journalist and former attorney broke the surprise news to her co-anchors on Tuesday’s show (June 7th), saying they’re expecting another child at the end of the year. “Mike and I are so excited. We're expecting a baby in December!” she said.

She and Feldman are already parents to a 22-month old daughter Vale, whose imminent arrival the couple memorably announced on air back in 2014 just two days after they got married.

Congrats to Carson Daly, who’s just welcomed his third baby with fiancée Siri Pinter late on Wednesday. The NBC host announced the happy news on the Today show, as you do. Well, he leaked the announcement to Today, anyway, emailing to say that the baby had left “the orange womb.” Get it? Like Daly’s orange room at Today? Yeah, puns are cool. Little London weighed in at 8 lbs. 11 oz., measured 22 inches long and "has the cheeks, too," according to Carson.

The not-so-new dad focused the announcement on his wife, of course, since she was the one doing all the work: “Siri is a warrior and I’m so amazed by her poise, grace and strength during this miraculous process.”

Matt Lauer's contract with NBC's Today show has been extended, laying rumours to rest surrounding his dismissal. The network received a number of complaints after Lauer's co-anchor on the morning show, Ann Curry, left. However, NBC has offered its official endorsement of the 56-year-old anchor and released a public statement making clear their intentions to keep Lauer on the show.

Matt Lauer's contract on the Today show has been extended.

The statement, issued on Thursday (12th June), announces Lauer has been signed as host for a number of years to come, at least two according to the NY Times. The NBC executives have released the news that Lauer's contract has been extended but the specific terms are uncertain. It is rumoured his salary could be anything between $20 and $25 million.

Katie Couric could be set to return to NBC’s “Today” show. The journalist is allegedly in talks with the network to potentially cover for Savannah Guthrie while she takes her maternity leave. 42 year old Guthrie is five months into her pregnancy and said to be taking her leave late this summer.

Should Couric return to NBC it wouldn't be her first time hosting the "Today" show

The position which Couric is said to be in the running for is currently temporary, although if ratings rise then the role could become permanent. The “Today” show is currently the No.2 morning show in the United States, the network may be hoping to take the top spot with Couric in the driving seat.

Savannah Guthrie is now married and pregnant!

The NBC News anchor made the two huge announcements on Monday's (March 17th) addition of the 'Today' Show.

The 42-year-old told her co-anchors and viewers, over the weekend she married her fiancé Mike Feldman, and that she is also four months pregnant.

Preparations for Richard Branson’s inaugural commercial space flight are in full force and this week, the billionaire announced that NBC was tasked with covering the lead-up and the flight itself. If everything goes according to plan Branson and his two children – Holly, 31, and Sam, 28 – could blast off from new Mexico on board the irgin Galactic SpaceShip Two rocket plane as soon as next August. This is looking increasingly likely, after Branson announced that the aircraft had successfully broken the sound barrier during tests already.

Branson is almost ready for takeoff.

"We are delighted that we are going to be working with you," Branson, 63, told Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie, the hosts of NBC television's "Today" morning show.

Today anchor Savannah Guthrie has gotten engaged to her boyfriend, Mike Feldman, after four years together as a couple. The presenter flashed her ring to her Today co-host Matt Lauer for a photo that was soon uploaded on to his Twitter account, complete with the caption 'Big news from Savannah!'

Mike, who was a former aide to Al Gore before joining a communications firm that operates in Washington, D.C. and New York, popped the question to Savannah over the weekend, the presenter later revealed on air. The picture was uploaded shortly before Today went to air, and as the views came flooding in for the picture she and Lauer discussed her weekend briefly, with Guthrie saying, “We’ve been together four years so, as he said, no one can accuse us of rushing into anything,” adding, “Our families have been in-laws for years…they were just waiting for us to catch up!"

During the show, the celebrations went on with guest Bradley Cooper, who was promoting The Hangover III, coming on set with a bouquet of roses for the soon-to-be-wed anchor. The cheeky Oscar-nominee then asked the presenter, with his tongue firmly in cheek of course, whether he could have Guthrie's number.
