Is Sarah Palin getting jealous of her daughter’s time in the limelight? Or is she simply trying to capitalise on it for her own gain? Either way, Sarah Palin is writing a fitness book. Yes. A fitness book. Nothing to do with politics, which at least some would argue is her specialist subject. Not even some kind of scandalous exposé on her family life… something that people would be interested in reading. Nope. Palin has decided to let the world know exactly how she stays in shape, instead. As if anyone gives a hoot.

The 48 year-old political disaster, whose daughter Bristol Palin is currently starring in 'Dancing With the Stars', told People magazine that she – and her family – are writing a diet and fitness book, which she describes as “unique and motivating.” She told the magazine “Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!" Palin is clearly confident that she can convince her fellow country folk to adopt the healthy lifestyle that she leads, saying “We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy.”

What she hasn’t promised, however, is whether or not anyone’s going to actually publish this book. And we’re not sure that recent photos of Palin looking gaunt, teetering in skinny jeans and a towering pair of wedges are going to help her towards a publishing deal.
