Bristol and Sarah Palin chose a rather odd publicity method this week.
What is Sarah Palin doing these days? We wouldn’t even know, if the former vice presidential candidate hadn’t spoken out on a topic, which has so far been reported in the “entertainment” category.
Sarah Palin spoke up on the Duggar scandal this week.
According to E!News, Palin and her daughter Bristol Palin have rushed to the defence of Josh Dugger and his family from the vicious “liberal media” and simultaneously lambasting Lena Dunham. At this point you may be wondering how the Girls creator is even involved in the whole scandal. The fact is, she isn’t. Or she wasn't, until this week.
But Bristol Palin’s point, expressed in a blog post is that she doesn't understand why "liberal media" is attacking the Duggars while Lena Dunham gets a "total pass" for "sexually experimenting" with her sister, as she wrote about in her book, Not That Kind of Girl.
Bristol wrote a short blog post on Patheos, calling out the "double standards" the media holds. She wrote, "I can't believe how crazy the media is going over the Duggar family compared to the big fat yawn they gave Lena Dunham when she wrote in her book that she sexually experimented with her sister."
She quoted passages from Dunham’s book, quoting passages where Dunham wrote that she "would do anything a sexual predator might do" to her sister in addition to supposedly using her "as a sexual outlet, bribing her to kiss her for prolonged periods and even masturbating" while she was in the bed beside her.
Bristol slams the media for praising the Girls star for her "honest and witty" book.
Bristol was then backed by her mother, who went on a much longer and altogether more bizarre rant on Facebook.
