Sarah Jessica Parker not 100% convinced by Sex And The City Spin-Off
Sarah Jessica Parker made her name as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City, which, after 6 successful seasons, came back in the form of two poorly received films. So what does SJP think of the latest reboot of the franchise: The Carrie Diaries?
Well she thinks AnnaSophia Robb – who plays a young Carrie - is “lovely,” but she’s “not sure” how she feels about the series. “You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity,” Parker said. “[AnnaSophia] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about, but it’s… odd.” ‘Odd’ isn’t perhaps what the people behind Diaries wanted to here. We doubt it anyway. SJP was talking in an interview with luxury shopping site Net-A-Porter.com’s online magazine The Edit. It’s probably for the best that Jessica-Parker isn’t actually involved with the series any more, as it sounds like her bust lifestyle over the past decade has damaged her, physically.
Is it time for all things Sex and The City to stop?
“I went to a foot doctor and he said, ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there… You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there,’” she said. “The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost. It’s sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, ‘You know what, we are actually tired, can you just stop — and don’t put cheap shoes on us.’”
