Parker has been attached to the project from the onset and will be starring and executively producing Divorce. The series, written by Irish writer Sharon Horgan, centres on Frances (Parker) who is encouraged by her two friends (Molly Shannon, Saturday Night Live, and Talia Balsam, Homeland) to ask for a divorce from her husband (Thomas Haden Church, Sideways). The proceedings are drawn out after Frances struggles to decide whether or not to go through with it, according to THR. Frances discovers separating is more difficult than she thought especially after her husband finds out she's having an affair.
Horgan, best known for Dead Boss and Catastrophe, will also produce the series alongside Paul Simms, Aaron Kaplan and Alison Benson. Jesse Peretz directed the pilot but it is uncertain if he will continue in this role for the rest of the series.
