Irish singer Ronan Keating has suffered a painful leg injury during training for a charity swim.
The Boyzone star took to the sea off the east coast of Britain on Thursday (25Aug11) in preparation for the fundraising event next month (Sep11) but told fans he is facing "disaster" after pulling a muscle in his leg.
Keating is concerned he has injured his hamstring, sparking fears he will be forced to pull out of the relay swim in aid of cancer charities.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, he writes, "Disaster just been in North Sea training for JoinTheSwim and feels like I have strained a hamstring. Ouch!!!"
Keating is due to swim the Irish Sea from Dublin, Ireland to Holyhead in Wales as part of a 10-member team to raise cash for Cancer Research UK and the Marie Keating Foundation, which is named after his mother, who died of breast cancer.
