Launching her new fragrance 'RiRi' on Monday, the singer suggested in an interview that she could launch a much wider range of beauty products in the future.
In the year that sees her celebrate ten years in the music industry, Rihanna would appear to be branching out into fashion, with the announcement today that the Barbadian singer will be launching a range of approved beauty products at some point in the near future.
RiRi told Refinery29 on Monday (August 31st): “That is definitely something I am going to have my hands on and would love to do. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands. But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I’m going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise.”

Pressed for more details about what she envisaged as being a part of the line of products, she replied off the top of her head: “Lashes that could just put themselves on… …lipstick that doesn’t move, but doesn’t dry your lips out, that you don’t need a liner for. I mean, it sounds so unreal.”
On Tuesday, Rihanna launched her latest fragrance ‘RiRi’ at Macy’s department store in downtown Brooklyn. She had announced over her Twitter account the previous week on Thursday (August 27th) that she would be participating in a meet-and-greet session with fans as part of the promotion, causing dozens of fans to sleep rough on the sidewalk outside the Fulton Street store as many as three nights beforehand.
The appearance was briefly interrupted by a small gathering of anti-fur protestors, who have campaigned against Rihanna wearing fur products and snakeskin boots in the past, according to TMZ.
