Is there such a thing as 'too sexy' where Rihanna 's concerned? Well, we think not, but apparently, the new boss at Nivea isn't so keen on Rhi-Rhi's image. The singer had better enjoy her position in third place of Forbes' rich list because if her Nivea endorsement gets pulled from under her, she'll need to look elsewhere for a huge chunk of her income. Rihanna signed her deal with Nivea last year and merrily undertook a host of promotional work for the skincare brand and let them use her track 'California King Bed' for their ad campaigns. That was all before Stefan Heidenreich took over as Ceo of the company though.
Huffington Post reports today that Stefan hasn't looked kindly on the company's deal with Rihanna though. Perhaps the fact that she keeps covering her skin in tattoos is irking him? Maybe he thinks she's been a little over-keen on displaying that lovely soft skin that she's supposed to be promoting? Or is it just her hard-partying lifestyle of which he disapproves? Whatever it is, he isn't too happy about the brand's association with the 'Rude Boy' singer and told the German newspaper Welt "Rihanna is a no go ... I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna."
Heidenreich then added "Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability" and apparently, stepping in an out of clubs in skimpy clothing, hanging out with bad-boy rappers and covering your self in 'Thug Life' tattoos isn't quite what he has in mind for his family brand. Whether or not Rihanna's time with Nivea is over, is currently unclear. She'd better hope she has enough fans in the company to talk him round.
