Chris Brown and Rihanna have very different post-breakup coping strategies.
Just days after news of Rihanna and Chris Brown’s latest split broke out, Brown is back on that horse. The horse in this case being partying it up as a newly restored bachelor. On Monday the singer/rapper showed up to the Met Gala afterparty (despite his reported plane troubles, which prevented him from attending the main event) on the arm of Vogue entertainment editor Jill Demling. But Brown has also been keeping his statements (mostly) respectful to his former ladylove. In a radio interview with 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie Show, Brown not only revealed that he and Rihanna are officially broken up (again), but also some of his plans as a bachelor. As you may have guessed, those pertain mostly to partying: The unlikable RnB star revealed: "I've actually got three birthday parties scheduled, I got one in LA, one in Vegas and one in New York so we can gonna have fun.”
“And I'm just trying to have, you know, the best time with my fans and all the people in the club."
Cool story, bro. Meanwhile Rihanna is doing her own thing. Earlier in the week, she expressed her thoughts on the relationship over twitter: “Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain't for kidz #butimsleeptho”
It makes sense for RiRi to be a little on edge, after all, the entire time of their most recent liason, rumors were rampant about Brown partying with strange women and hooking up with ex girlfriends (Karrueche Tran’s name featured prominently in those stories). So that was it for that. Clearly, Chris Brown won’t be standing under Rihanna’s umbrella any time soon.
While Rihanna seems to be cooling off, Brown is doing his best to rock the bachelor lifestyle.
