Fact: Music producer Rick Rubin has filed legal documents to change his name. The hip-hop mogul has begun court proceedings to alter his name from that on his birth certificate, Frederick Jay Rubin, to his professional moniker, Rick Rubin, according to Tmz.com.

Fact: Eminem was joined by producer Rick Rubin to perform his new song Berzerk on U.S. comedy show Saturday Night Live this weekend (02Nov13). The producer and Def Jam Records co-founder played Dj and sampled Billy Squier's The Stroke on his turntables during the set. Singer Skylar Grey also joined the rapper for a rendition of his other single, Survival, stepping in for Liz Rodrigues, whose vocals feature on the original track.
