It’s been a crazy few years for weather, with storms ravaging coasts on both sides of the Atlantic. And crazy weather is the focus for Warner Bros.’ new film, ‘Into The Storm’, which sees some frankly insane storm chasers head into the eye of a tornado while most of the town’s residents are fleeing for their lives.

Into The StormIt's all going smoothly in Silverton

The new trailer gives you an idea of the death and destruction, and doesn’t bother much with characters and plot. We already know their insane for wanting to go further into a storm than out of it, and with these kind of disaster films, either you’re fully on board and ready for some cheesy dialogue, or you’re off to pre-order, ‘The Wind Rises’.

Here your synopsis:

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Steven Quale ('Final Destination 5') directed the film from a screenplay by John Swetnam. The executive producers are Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter, Mark McNair, Jeremy Stein and Bruce Berman.

The cast sees Richard Armitage take the lead alongside The Walking Dead’s Sarah Wayne Callies. Matt Walsh, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Arlen Escarpeta, Nathan Kress, Jon Reep and Jeremy Sumpter.

If you’re into disaster movies, then this one looks as good as any. Fiery tornadoes have their place in cinema, and if you want to be in the same place, then ‘Into The Storm’ is probably the film for you. It opens on August 8th, which is when a certain set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are hitting town.
