Reese Witherspoon celebrated turning 40 in style on Saturday, with a star-studded, fun-filled birthday party. Reese, who officially celebrates her birthday on Tuesday (March 22nd), enjoyed an extra special bash at the Warwick, in Hollywood, California, where she was joined by some very famous faces.

According to People the party kicked-off at 7:30 p.m, when Reese arrived with husband Jim Toth. On her snapchat, the actress shared a video of herself and mom Betty as they drove to the bash.

A source told People: "Reese was smiling and seemed excited about her party. She wore a sparkly cocktail dress and looked amazing. A live band played sexy jazz music as guests arrived.”

"It was a great party. When Reese left at 2 a.m., she was in the best mood," the source also added. "You could tell that she had the best time celebrating her birthday."

The guestlist included Jennifer Aniston and husband Justin Theroux, Courteney Cox, Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, Tobey Maguire, Jason Bateman, Taylor Swift and Kate Hudson.

Reese was also treated to a special surprise performance from Taylor Swift, which Kate Hudson shared on her Snapchat. "This beauty gave a little surprise for our bday," Hudson captioned one video, adding "Happy birthday Reese, we love you!”

The birthday girl also joined Keith Urban on stage for a rendition of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’. A fellow guest later shared a pic of the pair together with the caption: ‘You can take the girl out the South, but you can't take Sweet Home Alabama out the girl! HAPPY BIRTHDAY.’
