Reese Witherspoon has been daring enough to try new projects in her career, especially since she has starred in a number of box office flops in recent years, and one of her most daring acting ventures comes in the form of 'Wild,' a drama based on Cheryl Strayed's memoir 'Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail.'

The 38 year-old actress stars as Strayed, who is a woman venturing out into the wilderness with a huge backpack to cover a thousand miles across the Pacific Crest Trail. Although she is expected to be a strong contender during the awards season, Witherspoon's daughter seems to be her harshest critics, mainly because of her mother's nude scenes in the drama.

"Ava's 15 and there are parts in the film that I had to explain to her. I told her, 'I'm naked in the movie...' and she was like, 'Mom, that's so weird!" Witherspoon recently told New Magazine. "I said, 'I had to be brave Ava, and I couldn't just tell the parts I was comfortable with, because Cheryl was brave to tell her whole story, so I had to tell even the parts that I was scared to do.'"

Despite Witherspoon trying to justify baring all in front of the camera, the Oscar winner realizes why her daughter is uncomfortable with it. "She's like, 'I know but if this was Grandma Betty...' I said, 'You're right, that would be really, really weird!' But she's very proud of me," she added.

'Wild' hits theatres on December 5th, and fans of Witherspoon should be prepared to see the actress as they have never imagined before as she portrays the real-life downfall of Strayed who coped with her mother's passing by taking heroin, and frequently having one night stands.
