Fact: Fans of Pitch Perfect will have to wait a little longer for the third instalment of the blockbuster a cappella film to premiere - bosses at Universal have moved the release date of Pitch Perfect 3 to 22 December, 2017. The move comes weeks after executives pushed the released date from July (17) to August (17). Elizabeth Banks returns as director for the film, and most of the cast is also reprising their roles, including Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson.

Entrants must record a segment of their favourite Pitch Perfect 2 soundbite on the dubbing app's special film gallery and post the results on social media using the hashtag #PitchSmash. The winner will land a small appearance in Pitch Perfect 3, which will begin filming next year (16), with stars including Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick returning to reprise their roles.

Fact: Bosses at Universal Pictures are moving forward with a new sequel in PITCH PERFECT franchise. Screenwriter Kay Cannon, who penned the 2012 original and its new follow-up, Pitch Perfect 2, is in talks to come up with a new adventure for the musical comedy. It is not yet known if stars including Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick will return for the planned third installment. Pitch Perfect 2, directed by actress Elizabeth Banks, has already raked in $250 million (£156 million) following its release last month (May15).
