Radiohead's next album will be on "another level".

Guitarist Ed O'Brien has indicated that the follow-up to 2007's 'In Rainbows' will be "different" to their usual offerings.

He said: "We've got to take it to another level. It feels great, it feels really, really good.

"We've got the potential to make a really different record which is always what we're trying to do, and that's the thing that excites us."

'In Rainbows' caused a stir when it was released as a download-only album in 2007.

Fans were allowed to pay as little or as much as they wanted for the release which debuted at number one on both the US and UK charts.

Last year Ed revealed that the 'Paranoid Android' hitmakers want to make an album "without fear".

He said: "What we're trying to do now is make art without fear. You're relaxing. There is more joy in what you do."
