The Polyphonic Spree released a very special version of their universally acclaimed debut LP, The Beginning Stages Of... on June 16th. The album features a DVD disc containing a host of exclusive and previously unseen footage. Exclusive live recordings are accessible whilst scrolling through the DVD menus and the disc also includes live footage of the singles, Light and Day, Hanging Around and Soldier Girl. For the fans, the inclusion of the band’s own on tour camcorder footage is sure to be compulsive viewing. To complete the DVD package, there is also a photo gallery on the DVD disc, containing images from what has been an extraordinary year for the 23 members. The audio disc now features the single mixes of Soldier Girl, Light and Day and Hanging Around, previously only available as individual singles and a new edit of A Long Day. In addition, a special new mix of It’s the Sun, unavailable elsewhere and more akin to the live version, features on the audio disc. The Polyphonic Spree return to the UK this weekend (June 28th) for their previously announced Glastonbury Festival performance and then a short headline tour. The band will also play The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festival later in the summer, full dates are as follows: |
