RT @RepsForBiden: Amazing.
It comes after an awards ceremony that saw just 17 out of 86 awards go to female artists or female-fronted acts, as well as Grammys president Neil Portnow's much-criticised words.
After a turbulent week in the wake of the Grammy Awards ceremony, dogged by accusations of inequality between male and female artists, an independent task force has been set up to examine “the role of gender”.
It comes in the context of Recording Academy president Neil Portnow coming under fire for saying that women in music needed to “step up” when he was quizzed about the relative lack of recognition they received during Sunday’s awards, where female artists or female-fronted bands only received 17 out of the 86 awards and the list of performers included few women.
On Thursday (February 1st), Portnow went back on his statement and said they were a “poor choice of words” and that “gender bias” in the industry needs to be addressed.

Pink wants to write a ''signature song'' for her father.
The 38-year-old singer released her debut album 'Can't Take Me Home' in 2000, but despite boasting almost two decades at the helm of the music business her father, Jim Moore, still thinks his daughter has got some work to do and needs to make more hit records.
Speaking to Metro newspaper, Pink - whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore - said: ''My dad says I haven't written that signature song, so I'd like to do that for him.''

The singer confessed she used to crush on Jon Bon Jovi when she was a kid.
Pink finally appeared on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke segment recently and managed to completely baffle the 'Late Late Show' host in the process. If he wasn't stunned enough by her claims that she sings better upside down and that she friendzoned Joey Fatone from NSYNC, her love of Jon Bon Jovi went a lot deeper than anyone could have guessed.
Pink at the CMA Awards
Appearing on Carpool Karaoke to sing the likes of 'What About Us' (complete with choreography), 'Get the Party Started', 'Beautiful Trauma' and 'Raise Your Glass', she revealed her childhood obsession with the Bon Jovi frontman. Most of us can relate to the 'Beautiful Trauma' song.
There are few songs more relatable in current pop culture than Pink's new song 'Barbies'. If ever you have felt like you wished your childhood away and that adulthood isn't all that it was cracked up to be, don't worry - she has felt the very same thing.
Pink at the CMA Awards
Even the most beautiful, rich and successful of people have moments where they just want to run and hide from their responsibilities - indeed, Pink longs for the days when all she had to worry about was what her Barbies were going to wear on a makebelieve photoshoot.

The singer blew her audience away with her live performance.
Few modern performers are quite as powerful as Pink, who proved just how timeless she is with a sensational performance of her new song 'What About Us', as well as 'Beautiful Trauma' from her album of the same name, on 'Saturday Night Live' last weekend.
Pink at the 2017 MTV VMAs
The ever-evolving 38-year-old superstar wowed audiences on 'SNL' on Saturday (October 14th 2017), with an incredible performance that came just a day after the release of her seventh studio album 'Beautiful Trauma'. As well as the title track, she did the Platinum lead single 'What About Us'.
She's a big fan of the band and this week she got to perform with them.
Pink could not believe her luck when she got to appear on stage with GUNS N' ROSES in New York City this week, singing along to the band's 1988 song 'Patience'. It's safe to say it's one of the most momentous moments of her entire career.

Currently on their Not In This Lifetime tour, Guns N' Roses hit Madison Square Garden on Wednesday (October 11th 2017) for a concert that lasted a good three hours and included covers of Soundgarden's 'Black Hole Sun' and Glen Campbell's 'Wichita Lineman'. In a New York Times profile, the returning pop singer said that the producer is "not a good person", though she didn't speculate as to the validity of Kesha's allegations.
The returning star, who announced her new album Beautiful Trauma recently, was profiled by the New York Times in an article published on Thursday (October 5th). One of the topics that came up was the abuse claims brought by Kesha against Dr. Luke, and while she of course couldn’t speak to the validity of the claims, Pink does consider them to be “karma” because Dr. Luke is “not a good person”.
“I don't know what happened,” Pink said about Kesha’s allegations that he sexually assaulted her in 2014. “But I know that regardless of whether or not Dr. Luke did that, this is his karma and he earned it because he's not a good person.”

The stars were left mildly embarrassed by Ellen's questions.
There's nothing like a game of 'Never Have I Ever' with Ellen Degeneres to show you up if you're a celebrity, and Reese Witherspoon and Pink certainly found themselves in an embarrassing position when they realised just how squeaky clean the talk show host is.
Ellen DeGeneres at the 'Finding Dory' premiere
The singer, whose album 'Beautiful Trauma' comes out this October, and the 'Big Little Lies' actress were invited on to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' this week to discuss their current lives and careers, and found themselves instead divulging their darkest secrets in a hilarious game of 'Never Have I Ever'. Ellen asked the questions while they all answered with a paddle reading 'I Have' on one side and 'I Have Never' on the other.
The musical entertainment was indomitable this year.
The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards was certainly a night to remember on musical, political and social levels. The best that the charts have to offer descended on The Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday (August 27th), with many marking some of the most memorable performances of the year.

Another sensational Sunday evening from the VMAs.
The 2017 MTV VMAs rocked up this weekend with a number of special surprises, a big political agenda and a big win for Kendrick Lamar. There were some seriously spectacular performances, a few tear-jerking moments, but most of all it was an event of solidarity between everyone involved.
Kendrick Lamar wins big at the 2017 MTV VMAs
Kendrick Lamar was the big winner of the evening, with the video for his hit single 'Humble' (taken from this year's 'Damn' album) landing him Video of the Year as well as Best Hip Hop, Best Art Direction, Best Direction and Best Visual Effects.
They've feuded for years, but they've buried the hatchet now.
Christina Aguilera and Pink's feud might be the most famous in pop history, but it seems they have finally managed to put the past behind them and are now apparently pretty good friends. The latter opened up about the situation in response to a criticism from one of her followers.
Pink arrives at Absolute Radio
Pink recently landed the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, and one fan decided to mark the occasion with a clip of 'Lady Marmalade' which she described as 'the only relevant video of her career' and referred to Christina as a 'back-up singer'. Needless to say, Pink didn't like the attitude.

The singer posted an Instagram snap of herself cooking with eight month old Jameson attached to her chest in a carrier.
Pop star Pink has been slammed by her followers on Instagram for posting a picture of herself cooking food with her baby son strapped to her chest in a carrier, that many thought was “dangerous”.
The 37 year old singer, real name Alecia Beth Moore, posted a picture of herself on Instagram earlier this week with her eight month old son, Jameson, in a carrier on her chest facing outwards while she was flipping some sizzling food in a frying pan a few inches away. Her six year old daughter, Willow, is also in the picture next to the cooker, having clambered up on the counter.
“Dangerous stuff for your kids! Stop doing this,” one fan chided her. Another follower added: “Cute photo but please don’t cook wearing the baby. I’ve read some really horrific stories about terrible accidents that have occurred doing this.”

Pink has reworked the Jefferson Airplane classic for the upcoming sequel, which sees Alice return to Wonderland.
Singer Pink is preparing to venture down the rabbit hole, for the soundtrack to sequel Alice: Through the Looking Glass, which hits theatres on May 27th. The film’s soundtrack promises to be just as quirky and fun as the movie itself, with Pink not only contributing an original song, but also covering one of pop’s most trippy 60's classics.
Pink features on the soundtrack to Alice Through The Looking Glass.
On the Alice: Through The Looking Glass soundtrack, Pink reworks Jefferson Airplane’s 1967 hit ‘White Rabbit’. The psychedelic track takes it’s inspiration from both Lewis Carroll’s tales of Alice and the fantastical world of Wonderland and fits perfectly with Tim Burton’s hyper-surreal vision of Carroll’s classic work.

Take your kids to all the Pink concerts. All of them! (If you want to.)
This is probably the weird story of the day – that time a judge ruled that taking an 11-year-old child to a Pink concert does not constitute bad parenting. That’s not the weird part, of course. The weird part is how the singer found herself at the centre of a custody battle for someone eles’s children.
Pink is not too scandalous for an 11-year-old child.
The 'Just Give Me A Reason' singer became the latest star to take the battle to the trolls after a picture taken of her at the weekend attracted a ton of negative comments about her body shape.
Pink has become the latest celebrity to speak out against social media body-shaming. The 35 year old singer took to Twitter after receiving some barbed criticisms about her physique, having attended a cancer benefit evening on Saturday (April 11th).
“I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight,” she tweeted on Sunday evening, via a short statement she had prepared and then screen-grabbed.
Pink responded to the body-shamers on Sunday
