Pink Floyd have scored their first number one album on the U.K. music charts in 19 years.

The Endless River, which features unreleased material from studio sessions for 1994’s The Division Bell, has beaten the Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways to the top of the countdown.

A spokesperson for the band tells OfficialCharts.com, “Pink Floyd is both thrilled and surprised at the level of international interest in this, their final album. They want to thank the fans for their support and hope that in some small way, The Endless River has reminded them of the old fashioned joy of listening to an album in its entirety.”

Ed Sheeran’s X, Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour and Queen Forever round out the top five, respectively.

Meanwhile, on the singles chart, this year's official Children in Need charity anthem - a choral version of Avicii's Wake Me Up by Gareth Malone's All Star Choir - has debuted at number one and Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud takes second place.
