Fact: Rockers Pearl Jam gave gig-goers in Chicago, Illinois a performance to remember on Monday (22Aug16) after inviting basketball star and longtime fan Dennis Rodman to join them onstage during a rendition of their song Black Red Yellow. Frontman Eddie Vedder had to climb up on a stage monitor to give the towering sportsman a hug, and Rodman proceeded to pick the singer up, cradling him like a child, much to the audience's amusement.

Fact: Beyonce, Coldplay and Pearl Jam have been announced as headliners for the 2015 Global Citizen Festival, joining British singer Ed Sheeran. The free concert will take place in Central Park, New York City on 26 September (15) to raise awareness for extreme poverty. It is the first event since Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was made curator.

Officials from the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees claim that venue bosses have hired non-union workers to staff the Pearl Jam gigs.

Moonlander, the follow-up to 2001's Bayleaf, will feature collaborations with bandmate Matt Cameron, rocker Regan Hagar and singer/songwriter Pete Droge and will hit retailers on 25 June (13).
