Former Playboy pin-up and ‘Baywatch’ beauty Pamela Anderson has teamed up with celebrity rabbi Shmuley Boteach for a surprising new opinion piece in which she implores men to stop watching pornography.

Co-writing a piece with Boteach for the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday (August 31st), the 49 year old, who owes almost her entire celebrity status to being an icon of male attention, says that men who habitually view pornographic images have “less satisfactory intimate lives with their wives or girlfriends as a result of the consumption.”

‘Baywatch’ producers Michael Berk and Douglas Schwartz have revealed that Oscar winner Leonardo Dicaprio was nearly cast in the show as David Hasselhoff’s son. DiCaprio’s career path might have looked very different if he had landed the role of Hobie Buchannon, but perhaps fatefully for him, David Hasselhoff nixed the idea.

Pamela Anderson has reportedly joined the cast of the Baywatch movie re-make, heading back to where it all began for her, despite recently claiming she wasn’t interested in TV remakes.

The movie’s primary star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared an Instagram picture of himself posing with the iconic model, whose career took off with the hugely popular beachside drama series in the late ‘80s.

“We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!,” the actor wrote in the caption. 48 year old Anderson is therefore the second actor from the original series to sign on to appear in some capacity in the forthcoming movie re-make, set for release on May 19th, 2017.

Pamela Anderson apologised for “overexposing again” herself whilst at a charity event at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday (16th May). However, this was an entirely different kind of exposure as the 46-year-old actress, model and activist bravely revealed she was sexually abused as a child.

Anderson appeared in Cannes on board a yacht for a charity backgammon game in aid of Cool Earth, an organisation working to protect indigenous villages against rainforest destruction. She took the opportunity to launch her eponymously named foundation which supports a variety of “human, animal and environmental” charities and causes. The former Baywatch explained her reasons for her dedicated animal rights activism, explaining how her “affinity with animals” enabled her to cope with the horrors she had endured throughout her childhood, details of which she included in her speech.

In bad news for fans of Pamela Anderson looking smoking hot, but probably good news for fans of people who don’t really think that women should be seen as objects, an advert starring the former Baywatch actress has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority, for being sexist and degrading towards woman.

The advert, made by Dreamscape Networks, saw Anderson and another actress wearing bikinis and pouring cream on each other in a raunchy clip. The section of the advert was part of a daydream being had by a man who was apparently the employee of the two women and came about because the actress who wasn’t Anderson was offering the business meeting cream to go with their coffee. Oh dear. Dreamscape have claimed it was tongue in cheek and good humored, but the ASA have considered the complaints that have been made and commented:

“Whilst we noted Dreamscape Networks' and Clearcast's comments about the female characters being portrayed as strong, confident business women, we considered that they were also portrayed sexually throughout the ad, not just during the fantasy sequence.” They went on to add, “Although the fantasy scene, which we considered was sexually suggestive, was limited to Adam's imagination, we considered it gave the impression that he viewed his female colleagues as sexual objects to be lusted after. Because of that, we considered the ad was likely to cause serious offence to some viewers on the basis that it was sexist and degrading to women.”

There’s never a shortage of causes for celebs to rally behind and Miley Cyrus’s latest pet project probably won’t come as a surprise.

Yesterday, after a flurry of tweets in her horse onesie, the Can’t Be Tamed singer voiced her support for a petition to ban all horse-drawn carriages in New York. Miley tweeted a link to the petition online, at the suggestion of her mother, who was the first to get behind the ban. "Miley grew up around animals and with all our horses growing up, so she is very passionate about protecting all animals," mom Tish Cyrus explained for E!News. It made sense then, to try and use Miley’s enormous fan base to raise support for the petition.

And it worked! A spokeswoman for New Yorkers for Clean, Livable & Safe Streets, the organization behind the proposed ban, the organization behind the petition, has said that the 100 000 signature goal was “shattered”, largely because of the Cyrus family’s endorsement.

It's been a tough few years for Pamela Anderson, what with a whopping tax bill and her embarrassing elimination from Dancing On Ice. Never one to shy away, though, she's admitted that another stint in therapy might be on the cards.

According to the Press Association, the mother-of-two said: "I've had some interesting therapists. I haven't been in a long time. I probably should go back. I've been working non-stop, digging myself out of a construction hole. The house just enveloped me financially and I didn't know how to handle it. It happens to a lot of people in Hollywood. It was a very stressful couple of years."

Speaking to The Sun about a former therapist that she used to see, Pamela said: "My therapist was eccentric and old. I love seeing him and talking. We became friends - but I was paying for it. My grandfather was really into mythology and fairy tales and symbolism - and that's part of my life. So I re-hash that with my therapist. I don't know how much of that's therapy. In fact, he actually told me more about his life than I told him about mine."

Those looking forward to getting to see former Playboy model and Baywatch star Pamela Anderson pull some flexible shapes on the ice this winter will have been left disappointed after the first weekend of the new series of Dancing On Ice saw the 45 year-old become the first celebrity eliminated.

The result could be considered harsh on Anderson, who – with her partner Matt Evers - had placed third after the judges vote the first time round. However, once the voting was put over to the public she found herself in the bottom two and having to skate again, facing the subsequent humiliation of losing out to TV unfunnyman Keith Chegwin in the skate-off.

Blaming her most famous assets, Anderson told presenter Phillip Schofield “I just stumbled, my dress...my boobs fell out, it happens”. She also took to Twitter to express her sorrow at being knocked out so early, writing: "Thanks for everything. Sorry I was voted off... My dress fell apart in save-me skate. Devestated [sic]. Sorry international calls were not excepted [sic]. I couldn't vote with my own phone." Those who made it through on the first weekend were Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie, Eastenders’ Matt Lapinskas, Olympic gold-medal winning Beth Tweddle and former X Factor winner Shayne Ward. Six other contestants, including TV presenter Anthea Turner and Olympic boxing gold medallist Luke Campbell skate for the first time next weekend. 

Everyone's favourite Baywatcher, Pamela Anderson, has disappointed fans of the cult sun-bleached drama by turning down the chance to be in Baywatch: The Movie. 

She said, via Entertainmentwise, "they've asked me, but I kind of like leaving it as it was. I think doing a movie sometimes ruins these really great TV shows as they were. And I don't want to play someone's mom. And someone else would be playing CJ." Turning down a very lucrative opportunity to revitalise an old franchise comes as quite a surprise, considering she's in the taxman's crosshairs. Perhaps, then, that's why she's traversing the U.K, appearing in places like Essex; a far cry from her Malibu lifestyle. "Pamela's people made it clear - in no uncertain terms - that she wasn't altogether relaxed with either the location or the type of clientele," says a source. "It's not really her sort of place," they added, according to The Daily Record.

Instead, a glamorous turn on Dancing on Ice is in order, where Pamela can don sparkly gowns and prance around to her heart's content. She'll have to be in tip-top shape, though, as the competition is fierce.  She revealed: "I've never been a big work out person, but I love to dance, I love skating, I'm starting Pilates, I have a good diet, I'm lucky to have good genes, and crazy kids to run after. That keeps you in shape."

Fresh from her runner-up success in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Ashley Roberts has decided that she is to put her solo career on ice (sorry) whilst she concentrates on her next venture: serving as a judge on the next season of Dancing On Ice.

Rather than pick up from the largely ignored solo career she left behind to go into the jungle, Roberts has decided that her new calling in life is reality television, and thus Dancing On Ice is her next career destination. The singer/dancer/reality star announced shortly after her appointment on the show: "I’m beyond excited to be joining Dancing on Ice as a judge. To work alongside Torvill and Dean is an honour – they’re legends. We’ve got some fantastic names lined up to skate this year and I can’t wait to see their routines on the ice."

The apparent ice skating guru Roberts will be joining regulars Robin Cousins and Karen Barber on the judging panel, with Jason Gardiner returning after a years absence from the show.

Given Kate Middleton's current situation - growing another human being in her womb - we doubt she'll be donning the sparkly leotards, pulling on the skates and pulling shapes on the ice. In fact, we can't think of any situation in which she'd do that.

Regardless of that fact, Phillip Schofield - the presenter of the popular Dancing on Ice show - has plucked Middleton's name out of the air as his ideal hypothetical partner. "If I was a contestant on the show, the Duchess of Cambridge would be my perfect partner because I suspect she's very light on her feet," he explained. Schofield also hosts another show, ITV's The Cube, which sees contestants complete difficult tasks for incremental amounts of money. "There is no question I would perform better on The Cube than Dancing On Ice," he said, according to The Sun. "You can't underestimate how difficult Dancing On Ice is for the contestants. It is a gruelling schedule then there is the ever-present possibility you'll smash your teeth in," he added, before confirmed that, "Of all the reality shows, this is the toughest." 

Now, we'll say this again, Kate Middleton - The Duchess of Cambridge - WILL NOT be appearing on the show, but here are the real Dancing on Ice contestants:

Pamela Anderson’s financial debt is catching up with her.

The 42-year-old actress is estimated to owe about $1.1 million for various services. Most notably, the renovations of her home in Malibu have put her in massive amounts of debt to a few construction companies. Several of them have filed claims against her, the largest being $674,043 for "labor and materials ... to remodel main house, construct swimming pool, construct foundations for guest house." This debt doesn’t include the taxes she owes the state, which amount to $252,360.39, according to People. The former Baywatch actress seems to have some trouble finding well-payed work, as her recent reality show appearances haven’t been all that beneficial. In the last year, Anderson has participated in Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars: All Stars, and even the Bulgarian VIP Big Brother. She is also reportedly in talks for appearing on the British Dancing on Ice.

This isn’t the first time Anderson has racked up this kind of debt, and the professional reality show contestant is certainly no stranger to the IRS knocking at her door. According to Channel 24, in 2009, her debt reached the stunning total of $1.7 million dollars, managing to land her on California’s “Top 500 Delinquent Tax Payers”. Anderson will have to do a whole lot of dancing to get out of this kind of financial trouble.

For Halloween week Dancing With The Stars has the chance to go full on OTT and get away with it, however the actual result isn't as scary as you may have imagined, with the remaining contestants participating in a Country Week (still quite a scary thought though).

So the remaining stars - remember Pamela Anderson, Bristol Palin, Helio Castroneves and former boy-band-boys Drew Lachey and Joey Fatone have all been given the boot already - this week will be going head to head to see who has the best yee-haw and who can dance in a line with the best of them as the first round of dances will see the stars dance to a country hit, with backing provided by Little Big Town. LBT's appearance also marks the first musical guest of the season.

So what can we expect from the dancers? With the competition hotting up there's only so much the remaining pairs can give to mark themselves from the pack, now is the time to separate the men from the boys. Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan is atop the leaderboard going in to this week, and given her shock 2007 exit we might see her go all the way to the final this time round, but we can't rule out the rest of them just yet. Meanwhile fan favourites Emmitt Smith, Kristie Alley and the remaining Olympiads competing might have what it takes to go all the way, with Alley perhaps the most likely to fail should her batteries die out for good.
