Death From Above 1979 (formerly Death From Above) are set to bring their immense noise back to the UK next month ahead of the release of their debut single proper ’ Romantic Rights' .

The Toronto two-piece officially declared war on tedium on their last visit, leaving nothing but dropped jaws, pummelled senses and bleeding ears in their wake. Their limited edition picture disc single ’ Blood On Our Hands’ sold out almost immediately and appeared on Ebay straight after. On their last 'Elephant In Your Living Tour’ Death From Above 1979 made the claim that they would play anywhere, to anyone, as many times in as short a period of time as possible and promptly backed this up with some amazing shows in the most unlikely locations. The band crammed into the back of the Crobar,insulted the Queen, fought the crowd and left only to repeat

the performance much later that day at Frog at Mean Fiddler. They supported the Killers when it was remarked"To say Sheffield is dazed by the two-man musical maelstrom that is Death From Above (1979) would be an understatement of criminal proportions” The Fly . The 'Elephant In Your Living Room Tour' concluded with a show, actually in a fan's living roomin suburban West Norwood.

The band played a brief tour of the UK in September including four dates supporting My Chemical Romance. Their latest tour sees a return to the cosy environs of the Crobar, watch this space. The tour comes ahead of their forthcoming debut single proper, Romantic Rights which is due for release November 1 st On 679 recordings. The single is taken from the band’s debut album ’ You’re A Woman, I'm A Machine' which is expected early in the New Year.
