Orlando Bloom has revealed he will be spending Christmas with his estranged wife Miranda Kerr and their son. Appearing on 'Ellen', Bloom also discussed 'The Hobbit' and how much he will miss his role as Legolas.
Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom may have split up well over a year ago but that doesn't mean they hold any animosity toward each other. In fact, they will be spending Christmas Day together with their son Flynn (aged 3).

Bloom revealed his plans with his estranged wife whilst appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on 10th December. Bloom explained how Flynn's "mum [Kerr] is really close, which is great, so we'll all do a bit of Christmas together. Her family, my family we all kind of come in and mix together."
38-year-old Bloom was on the show to promote his latest movie in The Hobbit trilogy, The Battle of the Five Armies. Bloom has reprised his role as the elf Legolas in the latest set of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films and, as DeGeneres pointed out on the show, he's been playing the role for almost twenty years.

Although Bloom admitted he will miss the role, he is looking forward to moving on to new projects including one he is currently filming which he described as "rougher, readier" and with "unnecessary violence."
On his role as Legolas, Bloom said: "I will miss it, of course I will, I've been so blessed. The fans for that movie, that role and that experience have been the best ever. But I am definitely looking forward to moving into different pastures."
For readers in the UK, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is out in cinemas now. For US readers, see Bloom in the film from 17th December.
