One Republic are back on the top spot of the Official Singles Chart after being dethrowned by Miley Cyrus a week ago.

Their hit single 'Counting Stars' reclaims the No.1 spot after knocking off Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball' which is now in second place.

The American band's lead singer, Ryan Tedder, is no stranger to chart success as the Grammy award winning songwriter has penned songs for the likes of Adele, Beyoncé and he co-wrote Ellie Goulding's single 'Burn', earning the British singer her first No.1.

Tedder also co-wrote Leona Lewis's hit single 'Bleeding Love' which was the fastest selling CD of 2007 and received most radio airplays worldwide prior to its US debut.

The celebrated frontman spoke to OfficialCharts.com recently and said the success of 'Counting Stars' "is by far the coolest thing that's happened to us."

He added, "I've had a number of Number1s with other artists, but never one with this band. This is where I spend most of my time; these guys [guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, bassist Brent Kutzle and drummer Eddie Fisher] are like my brothers and we've been everywhere and back. This is the highlight of the year!"

Lawson's new single 'Juliette' debuts at No.3 and James Blunt follows at the 4th position with 'Bonfire Heart' in which Tedderis credited as co-writer. Eminem's epic faced-paced, 'Rap God' rounds off the top 5, he features again at No.7 with 'Berzerk', which is just behind Katy Perry's hit 'Roar' at No.6.

Finishing off the top ten is drum 'n' bass star Wilkinson with the single 'Afterglow' at No.8, following to the 9th spot is 'R U Crazy' by Connor Maynard and to finish at this week's No.10 is 'Change Your Life' by Australian rapper Iggy Azalea ft TI.
