British pop singer Olly Murs broke Hugh Jackman's track record to set a new lap time target for fellow stars when he raced a car for British Tv show Top Gear.

The Heart Skips a Beat hitmaker took part in the motoring show's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment on Sunday's (22Feb15) episode, and Murs admitted his aim was to get a faster time than previous competitor Jackman.

Driving a Vauxhall Astra car, Murs managed to beat the Hollywood star's time and set a new record, placing himself on the top of the leader board.

When presenter Jeremy Clarkson broke the news to Murs, he exclaimed, "Yes! Come on, get in! Oh my God!"

Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul formerly topped the leader board, and Jackman has now been pushed into fifth place.
