Noah Wyle was once known as Dr. John Carter in popular hospital drama 'ER,' one of the most popular characters in one of the most popular shows on American TV; he's had a glittering career elsewhere too having appeared in the likes of 'Donnie Darko' and 'W.' He currently plays the lead role in the show 'Falling Skies.'
However all of that's counted for nothing for the actor as he's found himself behind bars, according to Perez Hilton. Wyle was apparently on a political protest with 100 other members of the group Adapt that's attempting to protect the elderly and those with disabilities from being forced into nursing homes, and was taken in along with the rest of them.
Wyle has become known for his activist work, working for the non-profit organisation Doctors of The World as a member of the Human Rights Watch. He was also the spokesperson for the 'Cover The Uninsured' campaign in 2004 and in 2009 became spokesperson for the World Wildlife Fund. However this is the first time his work has led him into the jail, which in many ways proves his commitment to the causes he chooses to support, although his 'Falling Skies' bosses might not be so happy.
