Noah And The Whale (Formed 2006; split 2015)
Noah And The Whale are an English Rock band.
The members are Charlie Fink (Vocals, Guitar), Tom Hobden (Violin, Keys), Matt Owens (Bass), Fred Abbott (Guitar, Keys), and Michael Petulla (Drums).
Previous members of the band were Laura Marling and Doug Fink.
Music Career: "Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down" was the band's debut album, released on 11th August 2008.
On the official UK Albums Chart, the album reached number 5.
Laura Marling was included in the album, but left the band shortly after its release due to solo career.
Emmy The Great sang for band after Marling left, as well as Rebecca Taylor of Slow Club, and Lillie Flynn.
"The First Days Of Spring" was released in August 2009.
Charlie Fink directed a film that would run for the full length of the album.
Due to the 'painful' departure of Marling, no female backing vocals were included on this album.
Doug Fink decided to leave the band just days after the release of their album, to pursue a career in Medicine.
The band went on tour to support their new album, performing at the Reading & Leeds Festival in 2009.
The band released a track from their upcoming album on 3rd December 2010.
The track was "Wild Thing".
Their first official single from the new album was "L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N", which was released on 23rd January 2011, and reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart.
Their new album, "Last Night On Earth", was released on 7th March 2011, through Mercury Records.
"Heart Of Nowhere" was released on 6th May 2013.
A film also accompanied it.
The band went on a tour to support their new album after its release.
It included shows in North America and Britain.
They also supported Vampire Weekend in their UK arena tour during November 2013.
