Cult British rocker Lee Mavers has sparked speculation his band The La's is set to reform after he played a secret concert on Sunday (19Jun11) - his first live show in two years.
The There She Goes hitmakers split in the mid-1990s and despite several brief reunions since, they have not released any new material.
Mavers has been absent from live performance since making several guest appearances on British rocker Pete Doherty's 2009 tour - but he arrived unannounced to play a 15-song set at The Deaf Institute in Manchester, north England on Sunday, according to NME.com.
The show, billed under the pseudonym Lee Rude & The Velcro Underpants, along with the recent setting up of several The La's websites and social networking groups, has fuelled rumours the band is planning another comeback.
