The Buffy The Vampire Slayer star was arrested for the fourth time this year (15) on 1 October (15), following a dispute with his girlfriend at a hotel in Saratoga Springs, New York.

During the altercation, Brendon was accused of "forcibly" taking his girlfriend's car keys to prevent her from leaving, throwing her cell phone onto the road outside, and allegedly grabbing her by the throat and choking her.

He was charged with third-degree robbery, two counts of criminal mischief, and one count of obstruction of breathing, and two weeks later, he announced plans to seek professional help after admitting his personal issues had prompted him to attempt suicide.

"Hello to all my amazingly supportive fans," Brendon wrote on his Facebook.com page on 17 October (15). "I'm going to be going into a 90 day treatment program to fix myself and to understand the traumas of my mind.

"It's been bad for me the last three years and I've had failed attempts at suicide. I really just want to live and love and be filled with Joy. I'm on the long and arduous path to find such things."

On Monday (26Oct15), the 44 year old stayed true to his promise and checked into a rehab facility in Florida.

In one last Facebook post, he wrote, "Well my beautiful people I'm off to florida for 90 days of trearment (treatment). I love you all so much and I truly do appreciate all of your love and support. We're going to beat this".

Brendon entered rehab on two separate instances, in June (15) and July (15), to deal with mental illness and substance abuse issues, while he also sought professional help in 2004 and 2010.
