Niall Horan has revealed that he finds himself much more nervous appearing on TV than performing in front of thousands of people at he and his One Direction bandmates' concerts.
Niall Horan gets so nervous appearing on TV that he's ''often close to puking''.
The One Direction hunk has revealed that despite rising to fame on talent show 'The X Factor', he still can't get his fears under control when he has to perform on talk shows and other television programmes.
He explained: ''You never come home from a 1D show and say it was quiet. It's the loudest show on the planet.
''But oddly enough, if I'm honest, going to perform on a TV show is when I get the most nervous.
''In fact, I get so tense I'm often close to puking.''
The 21-year-old star - who admits he tries to avoid the celebrity lifestyle and counts going to the supermarket as a day out - also revealed speaking to Justin Timberlake prior to performing at the American Music Awards in 2013 had him holding back vomit once again.
Speaking in an extract from the band's new book 'One Direction: Who We Are', published in The Sun newspaper, he shared: ''Before we went out, Justin Timberlake was coming off after collecting an award and I remember saying to the lads, 'Is that the calibre of people here?'
''To make matters worse, as he walked off Justin came over to say hello and I was bricking it, nearly swallowing my own puke. I was fine in the end, but it's draining being that nervous.''
